Tales to Astonish v1 #79, 1966 - Hercules and the incredible Hulk are portrayed as equals on this terrific Jack Kirby cover. The ferocity of the battle is evident in the splintered rocks surrounding them. Bill Everett, whose inks further enhance the scene, also draws the interior tale (based on Kirby's rough layouts). In addition to the Hulk story, the Sub-Mariner has a separate feature. Other artists in this issue include Gene Colan.
