Starslayer v1 #2, 1982 - In 1930s Los Angeles, two thieves are caught by police, but not before they hide an experimental rocket pack in an airplane hanger. A young pilot named Cliff Secord takes possession of it, with a new idea for his air show. The Rocketeer makes his debut in this brief backup tale, written and drawn by Dave Stevens. The artist also does the back cover ad promoting the character. Front cover and feature story by Mike Grell.
