Coo Coo Comics #38 |
Coo Coo Comics v1 #38, 1948 - A cub learns a lesson in managing time for work and play, while a baby elephant is teased for his poor memory. In "The Playful Bear",
Frank Frazetta omits some details that make his work nearly unrecognizable. Contrast that to his title artwork for the elephant story, which conveys friendliness without sacrificing draftsmanship. Frazetta also contributes a smaller, second illustration on the following page that bookends the tale. Other artists in this golden age comic include Jack Bradbury, Bob Wick and Al Hubbard.
