Jack Kirby |
Fantastic Four v1 #16, 1963 - Returning from a sub-atomic world, Dr. Doom uses a shrinking ray to dominate the FF. Ant-Man makes his first crossover appearance, outside of his own series in Tales to Astonish. Jack Kirby's cover is marginally better than previous issues. On the interiors, his worm's eye view of Doom makes an effective opening splash. Perhaps most interesting are his depictions of a sub-atomic kingdom and its medieval-looking inhabitants. This is 16 of 116 Fantastic Four issues by Kirby.
