Eerie v3 #4 |
Eerie v3 #4, 1966 - Taking a post at an asylum, a young psychologist tries to solve the case of a homicidal inmate, against the wishes of his supervisor. Steve Ditko brings his usually flat depictions to life with the aid of various washes. The resulting graytones add an uncommon richness and depth to his work. Combined with his canny layouts, Ditko creates a real gem for this horror magazine. This story was reprinted in both
Eerie v3 #135 and the >
Eerie 1970 Yearbook. Other artists in this bronze age magazine include Gray Morrow and Gene Colan. This is 2 of 8
Eerie issues by
Ditko.
