Coo Coo Comics #42 - Frank Frazetta art

Coo Coo Comics #42
Coo Coo Comics v1 #42, 1948 - Dodger the Squirrel's play a prank on him that inevitably goes awry. This humorously drawn Frank Frazetta tale is also a showcase for his superb draftsmanship. His layouts and sequencing suggest he'd have been an excellent animator during this time. Though Frazetta stories were uncommon on this title, the issue does also boast three pages of text illustrations by the artist. His effort on "The First to Crow" is particularly impressive. Other artists in this golden age comic include Ed Dunn, Ray Patin and Jack Bradbury. This is 9 of 17 Coo Coo Comics by Frazetta.
