Weird Fantasy v2 #9, 1951 - Part of a Mars exploratory space team, Jean Belmont becomes engaged to one of her male colleagues upon her return to Earth. This early work by Wally Wood abounds in linework and texture, especially the title page. Some of the characters' faces and figures are too loosely drawn and inconsistent. Despite the artistic potential, Wood's skillful draftsmanship has yet to emerge. The interior page below is a reprint.
