1994 magazine v1 #21, 1981 - An uncommonly strange Alex Nino cover accompanies two of his stories inside. In the first, a businessman becomes completely immersed in a computer console and becomes a shell of his former self. In the second, a lifelong criminal finds himself in a precarious position in deep space. Nino's art in both stories is visually jarring, but "Lord Machina" takes it to the point of confusion. By contrast, "Freefall" maintains clarity throughout beautiful experimentations. Nestor Redondo is credited in price guides on "Tales of the Red Planet Saloon, but I see no evidence of his handiwork. Other artists in this bronze age science fiction magazine include Esteban Maroto. This is 11 of 17 1994 issues by Nino. /// Nino gallery
