House of Secrets #3 - Jack Kirby art & cover

Jack Kirby
House of Secrets v1 #3, 1957 - Losing customers to another scam artist, a fortune teller decides to pay his competitor a visit. Jack Kirby contributes his first tale of the series. His pages are drawn with clarity and purpose. The story's exotic settings and figures add further visual interest. The inking seems minimal, but doesn't detract from the whole. This story was later reprinted in World's Finest Comics #167. Kirby's corresponding cover is competently laid out, but seems a tad dull compared to his interiors. Other artists in this silver age comic include Jim Mooney, Ruben Moreira and Bernard Baily. This is number 1 of 5 House of Secrets issues by Kirby.
