Barry Windsor Smith |
Kull v3 #9, 1985 - A steely-eyed Kull stares directly at the reader, gripping his ornate sword.
Barry Smith's delivers a powerful cover portrait of the title character. The texture on the background wall adds contrast and interest. This is further reinforced by illustration's painterly quality. Interestingly, Smith uses a variation of the theme on the next issue's cover. Other artists in this copper age comic include John Buscema and Mel Candido. This is number 1 of 2
Kull v3 issues by
Smith.
