Weird War Tales v1 #61, 1978 - In a distant future, government mercenaries track down "unwanteds" living in the bowels of the city. The harshness of Alex Nino's drawings reinforce the the theme of the brutality of man. Two large panels on different pages contrast the its dark underbelly (see interior page above) against a streamlined utopia (page 2). In these two examples, Nino once again shows a mastery of light and dark elements. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Howard Chaykin.
