Masked Ranger v1 #1, 1954 - This blatant imitation of the Lone Ranger was probably one of many during the era. The lead story, replete with indians and bandits, is often credited to
Frank Frazetta and Sid Check for the inking. At first glance, it's difficult to attribute what to whom given that Check often copied Frazetta's style. Compared to a second Check-inked story in the same issue ("Frameup at Hangman's Gulch"), the first story has greater clarity and skill. Panels with horses are almost certainly Frazetta, along with any detailed backgrounds. This is 1 of 1
