Eclipse the Magazine v1 #8, 1983 - The Coyote saga concludes just as this magazine-formatted series ends. The hero averts a disaster at the Academy Awards, forcing the Void to intervene. Marshall Rogers' only cover of the hero is primitive at best, but his interior art is dazzling. Special screen effects and amorphous panels abound, marking this work as among his best on the series. On a side note, Rogers does a competent job in his rendition of then-Tonight Show host Johnny Carson, playing a supporting role. This story was later reprinted in the graphic novel I Am Coyote. Other artists in this copper age comic include George Pratt, B. C. Boyer, Larry Rippee, Jim Bourgeois and Trina Robbins.- - - - - - - - - -
