Weird War Tales #70 - non-attributed Alex Nino art

Weird War Tales v1 #70, 1978 - Three space pilots crash land onto an asteroid filled with carnivorous creatures. Can they survive long enough to be rescued by their fleet? Alex Nino opens with a rare opening splash. His vision of far-flung space is weirdly compelling, almost biological in design. Subsequent pages show the artist's penchant for surrealistic alien forms and landscapes. Nino's fantastical style seems perfect for this sci-fi story. Other artists in this issue include Gerry Talaoc, Dick Ayers, Dan Adkins, Jerry Bingham and Romeo Tanghal. This is number 13 of 13 Weird War Tales issues with Nino art and/or covers.
