Roy Rogers and Trigger #141 |
Roy Rogers and Trigger v1 #141, 1958 - The town klutz can’t seem to do anything right, until the day he helps Dale Evans foil a bank robbery.
Russ Manning creates these town characters with ease, or so it seems. Combined with convincingly drawn western clothing and settings, the artist paints an idyllic picture of the old west. The clumsy accident-turned-heroic-feat on page 4 panel 1 perfectly blends together both danger and humor. On a final notem Dale’s face on panel 5 looks curiously overworked. Other artists in this golden age western comic include Nat Edson. Photo cover. This is 12 of 15
