Konga #3 - Steve Ditko art

Konga #3
Konga v1 #3, 1961 - In the previous issue, a young scientist who finds Dr. Decker's original growth serum and makes his own monkey the second Konga. Brought to the South Pacific, the giant ape eventually encounters natives that worship a massive sea serpent. The story culminates in a battle between the two creatures, capably drawn by Steve Ditko. His layouts are thoughtful and well-formed. Good effort and detailing is evident as the beginning (see page below), but tapers off as the book progresses. Ditko's second tale about the dinosaur era is brief but less than impressive. Cover by Dick Giordano. This is 2 of 14 Konga issues by Ditko.
