Jack Kirby |
Charlie Chan v1 #2, 1948 - Straightforward with a touch of suspense, Jack Kirby's cover has different things happening in the foreground, mid-ground and background. Overall the layout is fairly static, but on the cusp of action. The drawing itself is well executed with plenty of exotic details (mostly confined to the left half of the composition). Kudos go to Joe Simon for his dependably competent inking. Other artists in this issue include Tom Golden. This is 2 of 6 Charlie Chan issues by Kirby. /// Kirby gallery
