| Supermouse #1 |
Supermouse v1 #1, 1948 - A trio of Frank Frazetta gems accompany three different text stories in this first issue. His compositions are masterful, despite the confined spaces and long horizontal format. Two display the artist's penchant for detailed backgrounds, while "Gnicky the Gnu" (the largest illustration) puts more emphasis on the characters. All of them demonstrate a line quality not often seen in funny animal comics, past or present. This issue also includes artwork by Ken Champin and Jack Bradbury. This is 1 of 5 Supermouse issues by Frazetta. /// key 1st issue - - - - - - - - - -
