Thrilling Romances v1 #12, 1951 - Thinking that her boyfriend's buddy isn't good enough for him, Doris tries to drive a wedge between them. This tale of manipulation is deftly squeezed into two pages. Wally Wood's panels are small and numerous, but sufficient. His inexperience shows in the pencils, but his inks bring depth and drama to the artwork overall (see interior page below). Other artists in this golden age comic include John Severin, Will Elder, John Celardo and Art Saaf. Cover photo features Susan Hayward and Tyrone Power.
