March of Crime v2 #7 |
March of Crime v2 #7 (#1), 1950 - Featuring true crime stories, this first issue is erroneously numbered as number seven on the inside. In the opening tale, a pair of assassins for hire goes on a killing spree. A young Wally Wood provides the artwork, which is frankly amateurish. The artist struggles with both layout and sequencing. Wood's drawing skills are marginally better, demonstrating more confidence with faces than figures. His best effort is the title page, which also happens to be the inside front cover, printed in duotone. Other artists in this golden age crime comic include A. C. Hollingsworth. This is 1 of 2 March of Crime issues by Wood.
