Trail Colt #1 - Frank Frazetta art

Trail Colt (U.S. Marshall) v1 #1, 1949 - On the hunt for a gang of murderous thieves, a US marshal anticipates their appearance at the Laramie Rodeo. Loose and energetic, Frank Frazetta's drawings shows off his youthful enthusiasm. His shading and detail are far in advance of most of his older peers. A few panels are a tad overdone, but his rendition of animals is top notch. This story was later reprinted in Manhunt #13. Other artists in this issue include Graham Ingels. This is number 1 of 1 Trail Colt issues with Frazetta art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Frazetta or Trail Colt issues.
