Trail Colt (U.S. Marshall) v1 #1, 1949 - On the hunt for a gang of murderous thieves, a US marshal anticipates their appearance at the Laramie Rodeo. Loose and energetic, Frank Frazetta's drawings shows off his youthful enthusiasm. His shading and detail are far in advance of most of his older peers. A few panels are a tad overdone, but his rendition of animals is top notch. Frazetta's story was later reprinted in Manhunt #13. This issue also includes artwork by Graham Ingels.
