Wally Wood |
Weird Science-Fantasy v1 #27, 1955 - After sheltering generations of humans, a massive spaceship ends decades of wandering, landing on a pristine, Earth-like planet.
Wally Wood's artwork excels in depicting various technologies and man-made environments. Like the inhabitants, the story's lengthy narration and dialogue vie for space within numerous panels. Still, the level of effort and detail is excellent. Perhaps less effective is Wood's sci-fi cover, a somewhat silly rendition of the space monster theme. These stories were later reprinted in >
Weird Science-Fantasy v3 #5. Other artists in this golden age age comic include Joe Orlando, Jack Kamen and Reed Crandall. This is 5 of 7
