Coo Coo Comics v1 #46, 1949 - Inserted between main features, two text stories tell of a proud deer and a pair of raccoons, respectively. Both contain small but precious illustrations by
Frank Frazetta. Keen draftsmanship and fine lines make his work richer and more dimensional. Just on its own, the magnificence of "The Busy Deer" stands out from the rest of the issue (see interior page below). Other artists in this golden age comic include Lynn Karp and Art Helfant.
