Wally Wood
All Star Comics v2 #63 featuring the Justice Society of America and Super Squad, 1975 - A sorcerer from ancient Lemuria threatens to devastate Tokyo, meanwhile the Fiddler and Solomon Grundy go on the attack. Wally Wood lends his considerable talent to Rich Buckler's cover, adding depth and contrast to the scene. Inside, two splashes partially offset the small, sometimes crowded panels on many pages. Wood's inking is especially good on the renditions of Superman. His impressionistic style seems to pay homage to the man of steel's co-creator Joe Shuster. This is 6 of 8 All-Star Comics issues by Wood. /// Wood gallery
