Strange Stories of Suspense #8 - Al Williamson art

Strange Stories of Suspense #8
Strange Stories of Suspense v1 #8, 1956 - Desperate for a new crew, a mean-spirited sea captain stumbles upon a band of men only all-too-willing to serve. Al Williamson's pencils are severely hampered by lack of definition. Figures and faces are sketchy and unclear. Comic book guides credit Gray Morrow as penciller and Williamson as inker, but actually the reverse is true. Other artists in this golden age science fiction comic include Ed Moore, Mac Pakula, Jay Scott Pike, Bob Powell and Manny Stallman. Cover by Bill Everett. This is 1 of 2 Strange Stories of Suspense issues by Williamson.
