| Wally Wood |

Daredevil v1 #5, 1964 - The masked Matador commits crimes with impunity, beating Daredevil at nearly every turn. Wally Wood takes over the artistic chores, making slight modifications to DD's original yellow costume. Many of the figure drawings are more stiff than dynamic, eliciting less excitement than previous issues. Dialogue fills many of the panels, crowding the well-crafted drawings. Wood clearly struggles with this early attempt to fit in with the Marvel style.
