Two-Gun Kid #25 |
Two-Gun Kid v1 #25, 1955 - After being out of town, a man returns to his ranch facing outnumbered odds. While confined to mostly small panels,
Al Williamson illustrates one of his best westerns of the period. Most of the scenes are accentuated by bold lighting and thoughtful inking. The opening panel of the fleeing rancher is highly detailed, with fine brushwork enhancing the rider's horse and surrounding flora (see interior page below). This story was later reprinted in
The Art of Al Williamson. Other artists in this golden age western comic include Joe Maneely, Chuck Miller. This is 1 of 3
Two-Gun Kid issues by
Williamson.
