Jack Kirby
Kamandi v1 #6, 1973 - Waking up in a wildlife refuge for people, Flower and Kamandi find remnants of a past before the Great Disaster. Sultin, the leader of the lion preservationists, makes his first appearance on the series. Despite the straightforward cover, Jack Kirby's storytelling is visually arresting. The high point is the stampede of motorized desert cycles on the double-page spread, nearly colliding with Kamandi's own vehicle. This is 6 of 40 Kamandi issues by Kirby.
