Thrilling Comics v1 #69, 1948 - Two Frank Frazetta stories reside in this issue, giving an opportunity to compare and contrast their merits. The artist inks Ralph Mayo's pencils on the teen-age Kathy feature, asserting his style with positive results (see interior page below). The detailed brushwork on the characters' clothing is especially stunning. Frazetta does the pencilling and inking on Looie Lazybones as well, demonstrating his draftsmanship and mastery of page layout. Note the impressive depth and detail of the large first panel. Other artists in this golden age comic include George Tuska and Art Saaf. Cover by Alex Schomburg. This is 4 of 8 Thrilling Comics issues by Frazetta.
