Thrilling Comics #69 - Frank Frazetta art

Thrilling Comics v1 #69, 1948 - Two Frank Frazetta stories reside in this issue, giving an opportunity to compare and contrast their merits. The artist inks Ralph Mayo's pencils on the teen-age Kathy feature, asserting his style with positive results (see interior page below). The detailed brushwork on the characters' clothing is especially stunning. Frazetta does the pencilling and inking on Looie Lazybones a swell, demonstrating his draftsmanship and mastery of page layout. Note the impressive depth and detail of the large first panel. Other artists in this issue include Art Saaf and Alex Schomburg (cover). This is number 4 of 8 Thrilling Comics issues with Frazetta art and/or covers.
