Haunted v1 #3, 1972 - Distressed over premonitions of her husband's death, a businessman's wife travels across the world to try to save him. Steve Ditko's third issue of Haunted demonstrates a mastery of line and texture. The opening full page is superbly composed despite the lackluster typography. Frequent close-ups of character's faces are haunting and expressive. Ditko's chaotic cover nicely hints at the inside story. Other artists this bronze age horror comic include Fred Himes and Pete Morisi. This is 3 of 23 Haunted issues by Ditko.
