Durango Kid #10 |
Durango Kid v1 #10, 1951 - Tipi falls into a death-like coma, poisoned by an enemy tribe. To save his life, Dan Brand must approach his enemies to find an antidote. Beautifully rendered throughout,
Frank Frazetta delivers one of his best Dan Brand tales yet. His outdoor scenes are idyllic and his characters distinctive and animated. The large opening panel of Dan cradling his unconscious friend is almost pieta-like in composition. This story was later reprinted in
White Indian #12. Other artists in this issue include Joe Certa (Durango Kid stories). This is 10 of 16
