Jack Kirby |
Fighting American v1 #7, 1954 - For the final issue,
Jack Kirby executes a less than impactful image that pales compared to his previous covers. The figures roughly follow the arc of the masthead, but their placement seems more static and uninteresting. Inside, the artist contributes a short story that just meets expectations without much fanfare. Although less recognizable, Joe Simon more likely provided the inks. This golden age comic's sole highlight is the first page of "Sneak of Araby", a humorous yet well-designed opening splash. This is 7 of 8
