Thriller v1 #10, 1984 - On this breathtaking cover, Alex Nino provides a surrealistic and painterly backdrop for his central figures. Its decorations are reminiscent of handmade oriental rugs or medieval tapestries. The artist's page layouts begin innocuously enough, but soon transitions into an artfully composed spread depicting the world's end. Well designed sequences support his graphically imposing style. His compelling visuals culminate in an explosive splash on page 27.
