The Weird v1 #3, 1988 - The final confrontation between the Weird and his nemesis brings the Justice League into the fray. Not typically a super-hero artist, Bernie Wrightson surprisingly delivers an impressive effort (with the exception of the seemingly hurried cover). His distinctive pencils are further enhanced by Dan Green's conscientious inking. Among the many fine pages, the opening splash of a boy and his dog is a visually breathtaking respite from the action scenes. This is 3 of 4 The Weird issues by Wrightson.
