Walt Disney's Donald Duck / Four Color Comics v2 #422, 1952 - Joining the stamp collecting craze, Donald and company embark to British Guiana to find the rarest of stamps. Traversing through the jungle, they discover the legendary Gilded Man and the lost civilization of El Dorado. The cleverly named billionaire Philo T. Ellic (philatelic) and Gladstone Gander play crucial roles in the story. Carl Barks' firmly establishes the exotic setting on the opening panel. A background map of South America is prominently displayed behind an engrossed Donald Duck. Jungles, jaguars, pyramids and the Gilded Man himself are drawn with great effort. This story was later reprinted in Donald Duck #246. Barks ends his run on Four Color Comics on a high note. This series would continue under the title Donald Duck. This is 25 of 43 Donald Duck issues by Barks.
