Marvel Presents v1 #10: Guardians of the Galaxy, 1975 - Comprised of Starhawk, Martinex, Charlie-27, Vance Astro and Yondu, this band of interstellar heroes first appeared in
Marvel Super-Heroes #18. After subsequent appearances in
Marvel Two-In-One and the
Defenders, they earned their own series starting with the third issue of this title.
Jim Starlin lends an uncredited assist on this story, providing pencils and/or layouts on pages 12-27. His style is most recognizable in the full figure portrait of Starhawk (see interior page below) and the well composed spread on pages 18-19.
