Thor v1 #169, 1969 Weary of endless conflicts, the planet-devouring Galactus reveals his origin to the god of thunder. It starts with a spaceship crashing on a prehistoric Earth and the involvement of the Watcher. Jack Kirby fills the issue with large and varied panels within reasonably-designed layouts. Sadly, George Klein's inking detracts from both story and cover. A lack of definition hampers the drawings, making them more crude and amateurish. The result is a fairly mediocre issue, something rarely described in Kirby's late silver age works. This is 45 of 54 Thor issues by
