Hercules Unbound #4 - Wally Wood art

Hercules Unbound v1 #4, 1976 - Traveling to London to find their friends, Hercules discovers a city ruled by a mutant dictator. J.L. Garcia-Lopez's pencils and layouts are splendid throughout, aided by Wally Wood's superb inks. On the opening splash and subsequent spread, Hercules and friends are savagely attacked on the open sea. Wood adds texture and dimension, especially in his renditions of ocean waves and explosive bursts. This is number 4 of 8 Hercules Unbound issues with Wood art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Wood or Hercules Unbound issues. See also this blog's Wood checklist.
