| Sorcery #10 |
Sorcery v1 #10, 1974 - Nearing the end of its run, this bronze age mystery title showcases several talented artists. Frank Thorne and Howard Chaykin both contribute terrific horror stories. Gray Morrow, a series regular, draws the pirate-themed cover and some interior text illos. The issue's high point, however, is a tale of a man's tortuous and relentless inner demon. Wally Wood uses delicate yet clear linework to portray the main character's misdeeds of the past. Pages two (see interior page below) and three are especially good. Although Wood was primarily an inker during the 1970s, here he also shows a talent for pencilling. Other artists in this issue include Al McWilliams and Gray Morrow. Cover by Morrow.
