Shanna bursts onto the scene, surprising a trio of hunters.
Jim Steranko creates a suitably dynamic cover design for this premiere issue. The angle of the heroine's body and accompanying spear run perpendicular to the vine, forming a strong x-shaped layout. These diagonals also add movement and excitement to the scene. The jungle cats poise to strike while conveniently filling in the negative spaces. This Carole Seuling story was drawn by George Tuska and Vince Colletta. This is 1 of 2
