Dennis the Menace v1 #1, 1953 - When his Dad explains a wanted poster at their local bank, Dennis the Menace (making his first comic book appearance) gathers all his friends to look for the dangerous bank robber Dan McStew. When they come up empty, the boy heads to the bank again and inadvertently causes disruptions (of course). Accidentally pressing an alarm button, Dennis turns the place into utter pandemonium. Though the comic strip was created by Hank Ketchum, stories in this first issue were written by Fred Toole and drawn by Al Wiseman. Cover by Wiseman.- - - - - - - - - -
