Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs / Four Color v2 #49 |
(Walt Disney's) Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs v1 / Four Color v2 #49, 1944 - Seven years (coincidentally) after the film's debut, it seems only natural the first fully animated feature would have its own comic book adaptation. Like other Disney properties of the era, this special issue would be published by Dell comics as part of the Four Color series. Snow White, Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy, and Dopey appear in comics for the first time. This story was written by Merrill De Maris and drawn by Hank Porter and Bob Grant. Other artists in this issue include Carl Buettner. Cover by Walt Kelly. /// key 1st appearance Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in comics, Specialty issue (movie)
