Dreadstar v1 #28, 1987 - A full-on attack on the Church of the Instrumentality begins, with Vanth and his team leading the charge. Lord Papal and his chief officer Monalo part ways and escape. Two teams are formed to go after them. Jim Starlin's opening splash recalls some of his bold, early works for Marvel. Both his writing and drawings skills have improved by then, as evidenced by the artwork in this issue.
