House of Secrets #87 - Neal Adams cover

Neal Adams
House of Secrets v1 #87, 1970 - Expertly rendered by Neal Adams, a robot sheds his human disguise just as two kids peer through the basement window. Interestingly, the cocker spaniel in the foreground contains the bulk of his effort. Note how the dog is eating atop a table rather than the floor, likely due to artistic license. Mike Kaluta delivers one of his best works, often mis-attributed with Bernie Wrightson inks. Other artists in this issue include Dick Dillin, Dick Giordano, Ross Andru, Mike Esposito and Bill Draut. This is number 6 of 9 House of Secrets issues with Adams art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Adams or House of Secrets issues. See also this blog's Adams checklist and Top 10 Adams comics.
