1953 - Deep in the underground tunnels, the two Brothers of the Spear find the witch doctor Nagopa. He flees while holding the general’s daughter (Tavane) hostage. Artistically, the panel and page compositions are generally impressive. Details abound, as seen in the interior page below. Kudos to
Russ Manning for some effective visual storytelling overall. Other artists in this golden age comic include Jesse Marsh. Photo cover.
