House of Secrets #148 - Steve Ditko art

House of Secrets #148
House of Secrets v1 #148, 1977 - Lusting after the king's daughter, a sorcerer's apprentice distinguishes himself in battle and takes the throne for himself. Overall, Steve Ditko's work is merely adequate. Ernie Chan, perhaps inking his pencils for the first time, diminishes their initial impact. Much of the finished work seems unfortunately crude and hurried. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Gray Morrow and Michael Golden. This is 2 of 2 House of Secrets issues by Ditko.
