Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #40 - Carl Barks art

Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #40, 1944 - An unexpected snow day turns into a full day of skiing for Donald Duck and the boys. Mostly set in the snow-covered mountains, Carl Barks uses scale and distance to heighten several of the humorous scenarios. Perhaps most impressive is the large opening panel, a leafless tree and a ski shop establish the seasonal setting. Other characters featured in this issue include Mickey Mouse and Bucky Bug.
