Space Adventures #10 - Steve Ditko art & cover

Steve Ditko
Space Adventures v1 #10, 1954 - For the future of mankind, five men embark on a journey to found a colony in the Alpha Centuri galaxy. Steve Ditko's nascent style shows good effort. Detailed buildings and machinery abound in this tale of Earth's distant future. Even better is the artist's intensely-colored cover (unrelated to the story). Ditko visualizes a robotic rebellion against humans, whose horrific expressions become the layout's focal point. Figures are strategically placed in the fore-, mid- and background to maximize depth. Other artists in this golden age science fiction comic include Seymour Moskowitz, Dick Giordano and Vince Alascia. This is 1 of 17 Space Adventures issues by Ditko.
