Roy Rogers and Trigger #140 - Russ Manning art

Roy Rogers and Trigger v1 #140, 1958 - Upon the sheriff’s request, Dale Evans helps guard an eyewitness that’s scheduled to testify against an alleged killer. Russ Manning’s artwork is a tad more spare than usual, most obviously in the backgrounds of many panels. His line quality and brushwork  also lack sharpness. While print production may be the culprit, it seems more likely Manning rushed through this assignment. Other artists in this issue include Nat Edson. This is number 11 of 15 Roy Rogers and Trigger issues with Manning art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Manning or Roy Rogers issues. See also this blog's Russ Manning checklist.
