Ghostly Haunts #42 - Don Newton art & cover

Don Newton
Ghostly Haunts v1 #42, 1975 - For the sum of two million dollars, Amos Burr claims he can capture the devil and deliver him to the clergy. Don Newton opens with an eclectic setting, displaying the man's collection of satanic objects. As the hunt ensues, the artist fills the pages with convincing Middle Eastern locales. Newton's brushwork and textures add to their antiquity. His cover is equally well drawn, although not completely relevant to the story. Both were reprinted in Ghost Manor v2 #48. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Wayne Howard. This is 2 of 2 Ghostly Haunts issues by Newton. /// Newton gallery
